Burrell’s Journey Begins

Burrell Printing was founded in 1960 by Ross Cearley. Ross offered traditional print services and started growing his business. Along the way, he had the opportunity to work with several pawn shop owners in Texas to structure some of the pawn rules and regulations.

Empowering Pawn Shops

After the regulations were enacted, pawn shop owners faced the challenge of simplifying the legal language into accessible contracts. Ross stepped in to streamline and format these contracts, initiating the production of pawn agreements for Texas shops.

Expanding Horizons

As demand surged, Burrell experienced rapid expansion, with an increasing number of shops adopting these innovative contracts. Ross’s expertise extended beyond Texas, as he ventured into crafting pawn contracts tailored to the requirements of various states.

Generations of Growth

In the late 1980s, Ross enlisted his son-in-law, Mark Bolles, to embark on a journey of learning the intricacies of the pawn printing industry. With time, Mark assumed responsibility for staying abreast of the ever-evolving pawn regulations and driving the company’s expansion.

Burrell Printing’s Promotional Pivot

Responding to customer demands for strategies to enhance business growth and customer retention, Mark ventured into the realm of promotional services. Consequently, in 2005, he rebranded the company as “Burrell Printing & Promotions.” The promotional offerings gained swift momentum as customers began distributing branded pens and calendars to their customers.

Family Tradition

In 2017, Mark’s sons, Brad and Garrett Bolles, joined the company to contribute their expertise. Over time, Brad assumed responsibility for production, while Garrett took charge of sales and administration. Although Mark occasionally visits the office, he finds comfort in knowing that the day-to-day operations are capably managed by his sons.

With the introduction of innovative products such as perforated paper, laser checks, and full-color printing, Burrell Printing & Promotions has become a versatile provider of a wide range of solutions.
